When did the Sobo journey begin?
Sobo Hair Boutique was launched in 2014 by Claire Anderson, who had a vision to create a luxury salon experience rooted in care, creativity and community. Since then, the team has grown into a collective of passionate, experienced stylists who all share the same commitment to making every client feel amazing.

What’s the team passionate about?
We love transforming hair and making people feel confident – whether it’s a bold new colour, a subtle refresh, or a nourishing treatment. As a team, we specialise in creative colour work, precision cutting and personalised hair care that suits your lifestyle.

How long have your worked in Sobo:
Since 2018

How long have you been a hairdresser, and what do you love most about it?

I have been working as a hairdresser since 2006 and the best thing that I love about it is the creativity and the happiness that it brings people when they go for that big change. 

What’s your area of expertise or favourite type of service to offer?

My favourite type of service to offer is anything to do with creative colour. Anything from colour blocking to vivid shades or even going from blonde to dark, especially a red.

What’s one hair tip or piece of advice you always give your clients?
The main tip I always give is to use a heat protector, even before blow-drying. People forget that a hairdryer can be as hot on your hair as straighteners.

What’s your go-to product at Sobo, and why?
My go to product is the Kérastase Extentioniste Thermique as protects hair from heat-styling, minimising tension, split ends and breakage.

How long have you been a hairdresser, and what do you love most about it?

I have been a hairdresser since 2008, I love that my profession has been able to take me all around the world and I’ve been able to work in some amazing Aveda Salons.

What’s your area of expertise or favourite type of service to offer?

My area of expertise would be cutting particularly restyles for clients.

What’s one hair tip or piece of advice you always give your clients?
Come in for regular hair cuts and keep on top of the condition of your hair with treatments.

What’s your go-to product at Sobo, and why?
My go to product in the salon is Color WOW Style On Steroids, it’s fantastic at giving texture, lift and hold to the hair particularly for those with fine, thin, or straight hair without leaving it feeling sticky or stiff.

How long have you been a hairdresser, and what do you love most about it?

I have been a hairdresser since 1993 and I love the connection I have with clients.

What’s your area of expertise or favourite type of service to offer?

My expertise would be creative cutting, although I do love all aspects of hairdressing from doing colour to hair ups.

What’s one hair tip or piece of advice you always give your clients?
I alway advise my clients when coming in with photos of hair styles they want that as a hairdresser we can cut and style like your photograph however it needs to be manageable and suit your face. There is no point in creating a cut and style that you can’t manage at home or having fine hair and opting for a hairstyle that needs lots of volume!

What’s your go-to product at Sobo, and why?
My favourite at the moment is Color WOW Dream Coat. This delivers a glassy-sleek blow dry and prevents smooth, straight stand from going back to natural frizz! Lasts up to 3 shampoos also I’m so impressed with it!

How long have you been a hairdresser, and what do you love most about it?

I have been a hairdresser since 2011 and love creating so many different looks that make my clients feel great when they leave.

What’s your area of expertise or favourite type of service to offer?

My expertise would include balayage and natural looking colours along with men’s cuts.

What’s one hair tip or piece of advice you always give your clients?
Blow Dry gently using a nozzle to direct heat and dry hair along the hair shaft for a smoother look

I love washing hair with the Aveda Botanical Repair range which works great with damaged hair!

How long have you been a hairdresser, and what do you love most about it?

I have been a hairdresser since 2017 and love meeting new clients and hearing regular clients updates.

What’s your area of expertise or favourite type of service to offer?

My expertise would include highlights and balayage I love offering this service and enjoy how happy clients are with fresh new hair.

What’s one hair tip or piece of advice you always give your clients?
Advice I give clients includes; use a gentle shampoo, opt for sulfate-free shampoos, which are less harsh on the hair and scalp. With your conditioner regularly apply conditioner after every wash, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends of the hair.

What’s your go-to product at Sobo, and why?
My go-to product would be Kérastase Elixir as this boosts the hair shine and helps seal split ends helping with frizz control.

How long have you been a hairdresser, and what do you love most about it?

I qualified in 2007 and love chatting to clients and transforming their hair with a really good hair cut.

What’s your area of expertise or favourite type of service to offer?

My area of expertise would be cutting and styling. That would be my favourite service to offer my clients.

What’s one hair tip or piece of advice you always give your clients?

Listen to your hairdresser! They know the texture of your hair and will only recommend products that will benefit your hair rather than opting for brands in supermarkets that are not specifically fulfilling their hair needs.

What’s your go-to product at Sobo, and why?
My go to product at the moment is Aveda Thickening Tonic, this instantly thickens hair and expands strands from roots to ends. Also organic which I love.

How long have you been a hairdresser, and what do you love most about it?

After 9 years in the industry, what I love most about being a hairdresser is helping clients feel their absolute best, whether it’s through a fresh blow dry or a complete transformation.

What’s your area of expertise or favourite type of service to offer?

If I had to pick a favourite service, it’s definitely between a bouncy blow dry and blonde highlights! There’s just something about that fresh, bouncy volume or the perfect blonde that makes my day.

What’s one hair tip or piece of advice you always give your clients?
Use heat protection every time you style, your hair will thank you later!

What’s your go-to product at Sobo, and why?
My go to products at the moment are the Kérastase Gloss Absolu Anti-Frizz Ritual. Consisting of Hydra-Glaze Bain, Insta Glaze Fondant, anti-frizz glaze milk and Glaze Drops Oil, for hair prone to frizz seeking smoothness and shine. It’s absolutely amazing!

I started at Yuu in 2023 and was promoted to Manager for Sobo in April 2025

What do you love most about it?

I love helping people in whatever way I can. Anytime I can make someone’s day better, stylist or therapist, I’m happy.

What’s your favourite service offered at Sobo?

Hair colouring! My hair has been red, platinum blonde, chestnut brown and dirty blonde. Love a good transformation!

Eat well and your hair will follow suit.
