March News
As you may have already heard, we have a possible re-opening date of the 26th April! Very Exciting news! Whilst we would love to start booking everyone in for after this date, we would like to wait until we feel confident this will be the case. We will soon confirm when we can get you all back in the chair!
Everyone booked throughout lockdown will be given priority to book in first. We will be putting together a waiting list for everyone else, you should receive a link from us by email, it will also be available across our social media platforms.

2019 – what a year for Sobo Hair Boutique!
We want to thank you for a great year at Sobo Hair Boutique this year.
This year Allana our Artistic Director had her first baby!
We also welcomed back Brian to the salon, which both us and the clients were very happy with!
He also brought back his excellent hair extensions service which our clients loved.
We did a lot of weddings in 2019, with some gorgeous brides.
The Sobo Team wants to thank you for a wonderful year!

Here, we answer all of your questions about how you can harness the invigorating power of this sensual, deep cleansing treatment.
Q1: What is scalp exfoliation?
Only our latest hair care obsession! We’ve always been very mindful of scalp health as the root of healthy hair. Maintain a healthy scalp with a little help from a detoxing, pore-stimulating scrub. Your hair will be more likely to reach its longest, strongest, most luscious state.
Q2: Why should I exfoliate my scalp?
Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. This reveals the newer, more vital skin below. Although the body naturally replaces dead skin cells with new ones, the process can be slow and uneven. Exfoliation from the outside really helps the skin with this crucial process. It removes oil, dandruff and deeply encrusted dirt. It detoxifies the scalp and stimulates the skin’s natural renewal process, revealing shinier, more voluminous hair. Sobo Hair Boutique is a luxury hair salon based in Trinity area of Edinburgh and has a wide range of clients.
Job Type / Category
As well as being nominated for Salon of the Year and voted best Team/Service of the Year, this urban salon is highly popular within the area.
We are looking for a Senior Stylist to add to our team, a clientele is not essential.
Are you a talented, hard working, friendly and enthusiastic individual? Then we need you!
Stylists must be fully qualified with salon floor experience.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Responsibilities of our stylist include:
– All aspects of Hairdressing
– Having confidence in working with colour and up to date hair trends
– Work well within a busy environment and maintaining clean salon
– Sales Driven and having good product knowledge. Full training given on product ranges.
Benefits
We offer a starting hourly rate of a minimum of £10.50 per hour plus monthly benefits, commission on product sales, half price treatments at our sister salon Yuu Beauty, meal vouchers, bottles of fizz (this list is endless)!
